SverreN Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Hei!
Your car does not have bad wiring inside throttle actuator. 91-93 300SE have older style throttle atuator with good wiring. I would not accent my attention on wires but I would remove actuator and clean it from deposits. I would also clean potentiometer with CRC electronics cleaner and dry it very good. ANd I would lubricate throttle cabele and linkages nice. Many times in your car linkages and throttle cable are main cause of ASR light. Check thoise out first, most likely your throttle actuator will be fine after cleaning. Keep them running! Best regards, Victor www.InstallYourPlasma.com www.RestoreYourMercedes.com Hi, Victor! I am thinking about buying a used elektronic throttle actuator and sending it to you for replacing the cables. I have a W140 S300, 1991 model. I have experienced ASR and limp mode once on the high way driving with cruise control. Restartet the engine and everything was ok. The car has droven 300 000 km. Other elektronic components that I should consider giving new wiring? I love W140 and older MBs. These cars are stunning. Used to have 190E and W24 230E. W140 is the car of my life and now I will never change to another! Thanks for a great internett site! Keep up the good work! Best regards Sverre from Norway! ------------------------------ Quote
