Who doesn’t know the wide-bodied S-classes by Koenig-Specials? Very famous and not very hard to find these days: they are for sale all the time on Ebay and elsewhere. For people that are looking for something wider and more extreme the Gemballa W126 SEC wide-body sure is an option. Is was the widest SEC available at that time and probably still is. If you had a full spec vehicle it could be fitted with a special exhaust-system that incorporated a staggering four pipes next to each other! Maybe Uwe Gemballa was inspired by the Bugatti Atlantique? Another rare feature were the four Recaro seats that could be installed in the car, where most exclusive SECs only had the front seats replaced by those high-tech seats. Photos tell more than a thousend words... It’s looks are better than the Koenig Wide-body, less Testarossa like. Yeah!!! All chrome is now white. Really fits the sporty character of the car. Wow! Four exhaustpipes. Too bad you can’t see them while driving. And oh yeah, did I tell you this car is WIDE!!! This interior is really one of the best looking ones from the 80's. The creme leather with red piping, the Pioneer sound-system and those awesome Recaro seats. But where's the TV?! Fitting those Recaro seats in the rear was a rarity. Looks splendid though and really makes it complete. Now that’s a multi-functional steering wheel. Lots of buttons. Can anybody tell me where they are all for? Olav Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Gemballa's brede SEC er vel noe av det mest ekstreme av Mercedes som ble bygd på 80-tallet. Etterhvert ble det bare Porsche for Gemballa, og designet har også moderert seg etterhvert. Styling Garage hadde også en. De lagde også en versjon med ny front og dører.
